Frustrated that quick dry and wicking clothing tended to be scratchy, smelly and feel more like a garbage bag than a shirt, Sport Science founder, Neal Caplowe, wondered, “where can I find more comfortable and versatile athletic clothing?” Well, the answer to this clothing riddle lies at the core of the Sport Science mission to deliver quality athletic apparel that is as comfortable as it is practical.
Relief for Neal came in the form of an engineered yarn that offered top-level moisture management – in a fabric that looked like cotton, felt like cotton and wore like cotton – but ‘it’s not cotton.’ Well, then what is it? It’s an engineered, performance polyester. Topped off with a little Freshguard to help control odor, smelly performance wear is a problem of the past.
